Our Risom House interior remodel and addition answers the request of Sven and Lara Risom who wanted a relaxing interior space for living amongst their art collection and furniture designed by Sven’s father, Jens Risom, the legendary designer of mid-century modern icons.
Staging The Background
Working in concert with Jens Risom’s work in the foreground; we determined a quiet hand would guide the design: white surfaces, a rift sawn white oak floor as background to the furniture and art, and cabinets with a nod to Jen’s era with some of his trademark colors.
